Online Paid Survey for Teens
As the online paid survey gets bigger more people are hearing about its benefits and how people can make money by simply filling out online surveys. The hype is partially true but as with anything this “big” it must be approached with all due caution. Lately there have been a huge number of teens that have been entering the online paid industry hoping for fast money but all they have gotten is a big sign saying “I got conned” plastered on their forehead.
At the current time the majority of newbie online survey participants are faced with a fraudulent front of the online paid survey industry. This is because of the unregulatable nature of the internet and consumer ignorance. An online marketing magazine stated some time ago that the 80% of all online paid survey sites were either built for the purpose of scamming the consumer into doing surveys on their behalf and not compensating them accordingly.
When looking at legitimate online paid survey sites that have already been screened by the rating agencies we find that only a small number will actually allow participants under the age of 18. This is partly because of laws and regulations about hiring and paying under-aged persons and also the extra complications when it comes to tax reporting. It has to be said however that as time passes more legitimate online paid companies are opening up their door to under 18s as the survey potentials for the teen market are simply amazing.
Further to that, one deciding factor about scam sites are that they would almost always allow under 18s to join without even having a mention of it in their policy documentation. A sure fire way to determine if a company is going to scam you of your hard earned money is to look at their policy statements and look for how they treat teen participants.
Unfortunately, due to the many scam and fraudster online paid survey sites that proliferate the internet these days, the newbie with no direction or advice has an 80% chance that he/she is going to get scammed. Those are terrible odds and should never have to be faced by a newbie entering a market.
My advice is for teens to hold out for a while longer until the larger legitimate online survey providers actually open up more of their doors to under 18s or even wait until their 18th birthday to start. Many legitimate companies don’t offer surveys to under 18s and those that do are most probably scammers.
